During his tenure as leader of PRSA, Murray implemented many programs establishing the Society as the leading organization for public relations professionals. Murray redesigned the Society’s advocacy program to position the organization as a leader on topics ranging from social media to communication ethics. Murray also directed “PR Serving America™,” a campaign to highlight volunteer efforts by public relations professionals.
In addition, Murray drove member satisfaction levels to record highs. His model for professional development, which leveraged strategic partnerships to provide members with free webinars, has enabled PRSA members to continue their imperative continuing education without having to travel or incur additional expenses.
