Annual PRSA Travel & Tourism Conference Draws Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Leaders




NEW YORK (May 13, 2010) – The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Travel & Tourism Section unveiled the roster of industry thought leaders and presentations to be featured at the annual PRSA Travel & Tourism Conference, May 25-28, 2010, in Aspen, Colo. The 13-member Travel & Tourism Section Executive Committee, representing destinations, hospitality organizations, food and beverage companies, as well as independent public relations practitioners, has created an ambitious agenda of presenters, case studies and media panels.
 
“This year’s conference agenda is filled with exceptional speakers and panelists who will present dynamic, case-study driven programs specially tailored to the needs of travel, tourism, hospitality, and food and beverage communicators,” said Section Chair Douglas MacKenzie, director of communications for the Greater Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau. “The conference offers attendees invaluable insights, resources and networking opportunities they need to effectively market to travelers through PR and social marketing.”
 
Set in picturesque Aspen, at The St. Regis Aspen Resort, the conference includes more than 15 sessions and media panels, and several keynote presentations including remarks from Sarah Evans, president, Sevans Strategy; Sheree Anne Kelly, vice president, Public Affairs Council; and Sree Sreenivasan, digital media professor and dean of student affairs, Columbia Journalism School, and contributing editor, DNAinfo.com.
 
Travel and tourism colleagues will gather at the conference to:
