NEW YORK (Oct. 31, 2005) - The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) will offer a teleseminar that focuses on how an increasing number of politicians are using blogs and podcasting to communicate daily with those who are interested in their opinions. The teleseminar, hosted by PRSA’s Public Affairs & Government Section, is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 2:00 p.m. ET.
The teleseminar, Blogs, Podcasts, Etc.: How Technology has Changed the Face of Public Affairs and Politics, will explore the high-tech world and its impact on the political process. Teleseminar participants LaVarr Webb, founder, Exoro Group and publisher, utahpolicy.com; Rep. John Dougall, (R-District 27), Utah House of Representatives; and Warren Abograst, IT consultant, Boulder Management Group, Washington, D.C., will discuss:
• How politicians are using blogs to communicate to constituents;
• How politicians are using technology to campaign for office;
• How new technology has affected public affairs; and
• The role of blogs in recent elections.
