During the Monday Networking Luncheon at the three-day (Oct. 12-14) International Conference, Todd will not only discuss the intersection of public relations and politics, but he will also preview election night this November by offering his insider’s view on how the election may shape the remainder of the Obama presidency. Todd will also comment on the balance of power on Capitol Hill.
“With our Conference being held in our nation’s capital, it is only appropriate that our keynote be Chuck Todd, one of the top political analysts in the business,” said Joe Cohen, APR, 2014 PRSA National Chair. “Just as this year’s conference theme is ‘Leading the Way,’ Chuck is a true leader in the journalism and political arena. I have no doubt that the thousands of International Conference attendees will be captivated by Chuck’s perspective on public relations and his unique take on the upcoming elections.”
Todd also serves as NBC News' on-air political analyst for "NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams," "Today," "Meet the Press" and msnbc. He brings experience from the campaign trail and fifteen years at “The Hotline” where he served as editor-in-chief for six years. A frequent op-ed contributor for publications such as the “New York Times” and the “Washington Post,” Todd was named by “GQ” as “The Most Powerful Journalist in Washington” in 2012.
The PRSA 2014 International Conference theme is “Leading the Way: A Fearless Future for PR.” The focus of the conference will be on the need of practitioners and the profession to adapt to today’s transformative media environment.
The Conference will be held at Washington Marriott Wardman Park. Attendees can save $300 by registering for the 2014 International Conference by Aug. 22. Discounted hotel and travel rates are also available.
