PRSA Presents Swarthmore President Rebecca Chopp With Advocate for Higher Education Award

NEW YORK (Feb. 9, 2012) — The Counselors to Higher Education (CHE) section of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) will present its 2012 Advocate for Higher Education Award to Swarthmore College President Rebecca Chopp at its Counselors to Higher Education Senior Summit on April 25 in Washington.
 
Chopp also has been bestowed the honor of delivering the summit’s prestigious Pat Jackson Lecture.

PRSA Technology Section Announces Technology Journalism Award Winners

Michael V. Copeland, senior writer at Fortune, and Robert K. Ackerman, editor-in-chief of Signal, have won this year’s Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) 2011 Awards for Excellence in Technology Journalism. These annual awards recognize articles that are significant in disclosing, interpreting and reporting technological innovation. PRSA Announces 2011 College of Fellows Inductees

The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) has elected nine PRSA members to the prestigious PRSA College of Fellows. The 2011 Fellows candidates will be inducted Oct. 15, at a ceremony at the PRSA 2011 International Conference in Orlando, Fla.

“Welcoming the 2011 inductees into the College of Fellows brings a great sense of pride and honor to all of us in public relations,” said Rosanna Fiske, APR, PRSA chair and CEO. “The COF honors the most respected and dedicated professionals who have selflessly given so much to advance the public relations profession, and this group is no different.”
