Sunday Times of London Columnist Cites PRSA Commentary on Ethics in PR

Dominic Lawson, a columnist for The Sunday Times of London, cited the commentary of PRSA Chair and CEO Rosanna M. Fiske, APR, regarding the reputational fallout from the recent Facebook/Burson-Marsteller ethics flap in his May 15 column (sub req'd) about about the escalating business battle btween Facebook and Google.

Writing in the fourth paragraph of his column, Lawson wrote the following about Fiske's remarks:

"Rosanna Fiske, the chief executive of the Public Relations Society of America, [noted] that 'this [incident] reflects poorly on the global public relations profession. On the whole, public relations practitioners are highly ethical professionals ... in this one instance, Burson made a significant ethical lapse.'"
