PRSA Industry Guidelines on Ethical Use of Interns Featured in PRNewser

PRSA's new intern guidelines, part of a recent revision to its Code of Ethics, continue gaining industry recognition and commentary. The guidelines were featured in a Feb. 10, 2011, PRNewser article, which also noted the broader context of the global debate within the public relations industry regarding the ethical use of interns.

The Public Relations Society of American (PRSA) has issued a professional standards advisory (PSA) on the ethical use of PR and comms interns. A recent BBC story accused one firm, Modus Publicity, of employing 20 unpaid interns. Guidance is now under review in the UK.
