Edelman, Hill + Knowlton, Grey, Gallup and Wells Fargo Top List of Employers at PRSA Jobcenter Virtual Career Fair

NEW YORK (April 16, 2013) – With college graduation just around the corner, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA)’s Jobcenter is hosting a free Virtual Career Fair for students, young professionals and other seeking jobs in public relations. The event will take place on April 23, 2013, from 1 to 4 p.m. EDT.
More than 500 job-seekers have already registered to take part in this online event, which is open to PRSA and Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) members, as well as non-members.
The online job fair promises to connect candidates with employers who are actively recruiting for open positions, through a convenient, easy-to-use web interface. Employers currently scheduled to participate include Coyne PR, Edelman, Gallup, Grey Advertising, Hill + Knowlton Strategies, Lutron ElectronicsStern & Associates, Susan Magrino Agency, Trainer Communications, Wells Fargo, Worldcom, 5W Public Relations,and LaunchSquad.
Virtual Career Fair participants will be able to view each employer’s profile page, which will present information about the company and the career opportunities it currently has available. Candidates then will enter virtual queues to engage in one-on-one chats with recruiters at the companies of their choice, where they will be able to talk about their background and experience, share their resumes, ask questions and agree on next steps.
Up to four candidates will be able to chat with recruiters from a particular company at any given time. Once their virtual interviews have been completed, candidates can then move on to other employers that interest them.
The Virtual Career Fair is sponsored by The Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) graduate program at the West Virginia University (WVU) P.I. Reed School of Journalism and Lutron Electronics.
