Lubetzky will present “The Power of AND: Learning to Think with AND Instead of OR” during the three day (Nov. 8-10) International Conference. Lubetzky will explain how by using a little creativity, anyone can retrain their brain to challenge false assumptions, rethink the way they approach challenges, and look differently at strategic planning, budgeting, hiring, product development, marketing and even personal choices. Lubetzky will candidly share experiences with attendees from his entrepreneurial journey including the role that strategic communications has played in helping establish KIND as one of the fastest growing snacks brands in America.
“As founder and CEO of KIND, Daniel has shown how innovative thinking and creating new paths and models that avoid false compromises can set a brand apart from its competitors,” said Kathy Barbour, APR, 2015 PRSA National Chair. “Our International Conference attendees are in for a truly inspirational program session where Daniel will discuss his personal and professional journey, and how learning from both success and failure, helped inform KIND’s growth.”
A pioneering social entrepreneur working to build bridges and connect people through commerce, Lubetzky also is the founder of PeaceWorks Inc., a business that fosters cooperative ventures among neighbors in the Middle East, and co-creator of Maiyet, a fashion brand that partners with artisans to promote entrepreneurship in developing economies. His commitment to creating economically sustainable and socially impactful business has been recognized by BusinessWeek, TIME, Advertising Age and Entrepreneur.
Lubetzky has received numerous awards and recognitions for his humanitarian efforts and his business practices. Among his accolades, in 2015, President Barack Obama and Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker named Lubetzky a Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship. Lubetzky is also the author of The New York Times best seller, “Do the KIND Thing.”
