PRSA Announces Open Call for Entries for Technology Journalism Awards

Annual Competition Recognizes Excellence in Communicating Innovation to Readers
NEW YORK (June 7, 2011) —
The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) announced today an open call for entries for the PRSA Technology Section's Awards for Excellence in Technology Journalism. The awards recognize articles that are significant in disclosing, interpreting and reporting technological innovation.

The awards recognize technology articles published between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2010. One award is presented to an individual for excellence in technology journalism in a general or business media source. A second award is presented to an individual for excellence in technology journalism in a trade, technical, industrial or professional publication serving a technology industry or audience.
Two winners are chosen to receive a cash prize award of $1,000. The 2011 Awards are sponsored by Microsoft Corporation, Airfoil Public Relations and Padilla Speer Beardsley.
Award presentations will take place at an awards ceremony at the PRSA Technology Section seminar on Sept. 16 in New York. Journalists must submit applications before the June 17 deadline. Full entry guidelines are available on the Technology Section website.
