NEW YORK (May 29, 2013) — Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Chair-Elect Joseph E. Cohen, APR, will deliver the keynote address at the INTEGRATE 2013 conference, May 31 - June 1, 2013,at West Virginia University (WVU) in Morgantown, W.Va.
 
Cohen, a senior vice president at MWW, East Rutherford, N.J., will discuss how the role of the public relations professional has transformed in response to the ongoing evolution of marketing and media. Cohen’s presentation, “A Fearless Future for PRSA and the Profession,” also will touch upon ways to better integrate the public relations function into other areas of an organization’s marketing and communications strategies.
 
Cohen’s experience spans the consumer packaged goods, retail, food, health and fitness, sports marketing, entertainment and non-profit sectors. He currently guides communications, integrated marketing and digital strategies for major companies including Hillshire Brands (formerly Sara Lee), Gold's Gym International, 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, Zumba Fitness and Sbarro Italian Eateries.
 
The INTEGRATE conference, hosted by the West Virginia University Integrated Marketing Communications program, is the largest university-based integrated marketing communications conference. This year’s conference will offer 14 educational sessions lead by WVU faculty and industry professionals, along with other learning opportunities for improving internal and external communications. Scheduled topics include concept development, mobile apps and augmented reality, sports marketing, public relations and crisis communications and social media analytics.
