New York (March 24, 2015) – The PRSA Foundation officially launched its Public Relations Internship, Mentoring and Education (PRIME) Diversity Program today, focused on attracting more minority students to careers in public relations and making them better prepared to contribute to the profession, and to society.
“We’re thrilled to have the support of 15 outstanding organizations as Founding Sponsors,” said Louis Capozzi, president of the Foundation.  “These leaders are helping us in our effort to drive diversity in public relations.”
Founding Sponsors contribute $15,000, with the option to renew each year. The companies include:

American Express
The Coca Cola Company
Cox Enterprises
Hill+Knowlton Strategies
Johnson & Johnson
Ogilvy Public Relations
Weber Shandwick

Additionally, Wells Fargo has committed $20,000 a year for three years to support the PRIME research initiatives.
“Through partnerships with the United Negro College Fund, the Arthur Page Society, the PR Council, the Plank Center and major universities, we fund programs and research aimed at attracting more minority students to careers in public relations,” said Capozzi.  “The generosity of these donors makes our programs possible.”
The PRSA Foundation, an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization, raises funds to fuel the passion, dreams and futures of a diverse range of ambitious and promising students.  For more information, visit
