PRSA Kicks Off Conference Season With a Mobile Phone App

NEW YORK (Oct. 6, 2010) — Are you ready for up-to-the-minute news and details in the palm of your hands about the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) 2010 International Conference? PRSA debuts its free application for mobile devices, which was designed exclusively for Conference and provides access to the entire agenda, including a detailed description of each event.
Sponsored by Verizon, the mobile app also features an exhibitor directory, news alerts, hotel information and local area resources, including dining, entertainment, transportation services and other general resources, as well as GPS capability and access to social networking.
"The rollout of our mobile app really adds to the full Conference experience,” said PRSA Chair and CEO Gary McCormick, APR, Fellow PRSA. “Attendees can discover great online content that’s tailored to their preferences, and can use the app to plan ahead, mark agenda items, seek out exhibitors and connect with colleagues.”
Attendees can download the user-friendly app to their smartphones by selecting the link that is appropriate for their devices to automatically begin installation.
