PRSA Chair Jane Dvorak was quoted in a Politico online column after issuing a statement on “Alternative Facts” surrounding recent comments by President Donald Trump’s counselor Kellyanne Conway with regard to White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s use of “alternative facts” disputing the documented reality that Trump amassed a smaller audience at his inauguration than former President Barack Obama.
“PRSA strongly objects to any effort to deliberately misrepresent information. Honest, ethical professionals never spin, mislead or alter facts,” Jane Dvorak, the society’s chair, wrote in a statement. “We applaud our colleagues and professional journalists who work hard to find and report the truth,” said Dvorak.
