PRSA Chair Quoted in ‘E-Commerce Times’ on Reputation Challenges Tech Firms Face in Online Privacy Battle

Gerard F. Corbett, APR, Fellow PRSA, chair and CEO of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) discusses reputational issues facing technology companies over do-not-track policies in an April 4, 2012, article in E-Commerce Times. In response to an announcement by Yahoo that it will offer its users a “Do Not Track” option, Corbett says that the decision was "a good way for [Yahoo] to create a positive impression about the organization."
He also says that the public wants to see this kind of responsiveness to consumers’ online privacy concerns. “Yahoo's move is going to be just the tip of the iceberg," says Corbett.
