PRSA Discusses Effective Use of Social Media for Business Growth in 'Baltimore Business Journal'

Arthur Yann, APR, vice president of public relations for the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) is quoted in a March 9, 2012, article in the Baltimore Business Journal on how companies can effectively use social media to grow their business.
Yann says that in regards to businesses’ use of public relations services to promote their brands, “social media gives an opportunity to engage with your consumers, listen to them, see what they would like. The big buzz word is engagement.”
Yann also points out that it is important that companies frequently update their social networking profiles with relevant content that is useful for their customers. “You don’t want to get in a situation where you go several months without updating your Facebook page,” Yann said. “Consumers are going to expect that, and if they don’t get it, there’s no reason to go back.”
