Sheryl Connelly to Challenge PR Professionals to Think Like Futurists at The PRSA 2015 International Conference

NEW YORK, July 23, 2015Sheryl Connelly, a leader of global trends and futuring, will deliver the Monday morning keynote address at The Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) 2015 International Conference on Nov. 9 in Atlanta, Ga. PRSA announced today.
Connelly will present “How to Think Like a Futurist” during the three day (Nov. 8-10) International Conference. Through her keynote presentation, Connelly will share 10 trends she believes will change the world, and will offer attendees guidance on how to interpret and take advantage of these developments. Connelly will explore how to go beyond traditional business analysis and focus on the STEEP factors – the social, technological, economic, environmental and political trends that help shape long term strategy.

Connelly, who has led the Global Trends and Futuring department for Ford Motor Company for more than a decade, sits on a Global Advisory Council to the World Economic Forum. Recently, she was named by Fast Company as one of the Most Creative People in Business and TechWeek’s Top 100 Innovators.  Connelly has been a featured speaker at TED Global and has appeared on panel discussions with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and entrepreneur Mark Cuban
In addition to a Juris Doctorate, Connelly holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in business administration. She teaches design research at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit and has been a guest lecturer at Massachusetts Institute for Technology, University of Michigan and Wharton School of Business.
The PRSA 2015 International Conference is the largest gathering of public relations professionals in the United States.
